Cystic acne nodule

Cystic acne sufferers also tend to develop nodules in addition to their cysts. The difference between a nodule and a cyst is that a nodule is a hard breakout deep inside the skin surface. A cyst tends to be soft. These nodules are very slow to heal, and are one of the most frustrating parts of cystic acne. It is possible to have nodular acne and not cystic acne, and vice versa. Usually, if one has nodular acne they have cystic acne as well, however.
